Endcredits
The german film director Dani Levy realizes his first series inspired by the true story of an unprecedented con. For the show graphics we’ve created the series artworks, the opening titles and a damn nice endcredit scene.
Briefing
For a series that centers around appearances and reality diverging widely, the key visuals should be strong, surprising and unpredictable. The directors vision was to create vexing images, merging and hiding inside one another. Nothing easier than that!
Approach
„The Sheik“ is a warm and funny show with a pinch of black humor, a retro look and the unique Dani Levy style of storytelling. To capture the stylistic approach of the director we’ve created an artificial stop-motion look with some handmade magic moments and an organic feel to it. Above all, we wanted to create moments of surprise through animation that the sneaky main character of the series couldn't think up better. Like him, we wanted to break with classic viewing habits and be playful with our expectations. What a fun ride it was! You can't make this stuff up.
