Show Package

30 years and still alive - 1, 2 oder 3 is the top kids show on ZDF, one of Germany's public tv channels. The show is now on air for over 30 years! We had a lot of fun sending Elton and Piet on a journey through different worlds with a lot of hints on the numbers 1,2 and 3. The show started in 1977 as the first real kids game show on german television. Since then generations of kids were jumping on glowing buttons to win spectacular presents for every right answer.

BRIEFING

ZDF decided to refresh the whole brand for the new decade with choosing a new host for the show. Alexander Duszat also known as Elton was elected to continue the history as host of 1,2 oder 3.dyrdee developed a concept for the opener and designed a show package that is closely connected to the look of the show studio.

Approach

The opener tells a short adventurous trip of the host Elton and Piet, the blue seal, through colorful fantastic worlds. Every transition from one world to another is connected seamlessly to achieve spectacular magical moments throughout the spot. We hid a couple of hints to the numbers 1, 2 and 3 throughout the spot that can be discovered while watching the opener several times. The footage was shot on greenscreen with a red one camera, while moving Piet and Elton with ropes to achieve the right action.
